You say the Celts believed the North Star was the location of Heaven... But then you say the Druids believed in reincarnation? Was there a dispute between the elders and the Celtic people? Hmm... I find it (this medieval topic - no, all medieval topics, ctually) very interesting. Thanks for the information.

Like your site, just happened upon it. I am particularly interested in Thomas the Rhymer or True Thomas the Magician of the North. He happened to tell some prophecies of my ancestors that can true a few hundred years later. It is said that he came from th area of the Tweed River. He was abducted from Huntly Bank by the Queen of the Fairies and then let go after seven years, and given the gift of "true sight". He was called the Merlin of the North, likened to Arthurs Merlin. It is said in my family histor that he taught some of my ancesters. Sir Walter Scott was so interested in this True Thomas that Scott purchased the estate, but I do not know if this is true. These stories have been passed down to me from my relatives, and I would like to know if this i true. I have read Robert Graves on the subject, and also the Golden Bough. Where else can I go to find out more about Thomas of Eurlichdoune?(sp}If you can help, I would appreciate it. Thanks. Blessed Be...

I thought this is an excellent site with alot of valuable information. I recently became interested in the Celtics after viewing a movie which made a reference to the Celts and their human sacrifices. I definately plan to come back to this site to learn more about this unknown ancient civilivation.
